Planning a Rockies trip takes more time than most people expect, and fitting it all together is where it gets complicated.

You might be wondering:

  • When do the Moraine Lake shuttle reservations open?
  • Which attractions need booking ahead, and how far in advance?
  • How many nights should we spend in each place?
  • How do we fit everything in without spending half the trip in the car?
  • Where do we even start?

If you'd rather hand it all over to someone who lives here, that's exactly what this service is for. I'll plan your trip for you, day by day, so you know exactly what to do, where, and when.

Who This Is For

This service is for visitors who want their whole trip planned by someone who lives here.

It's a good fit if you:

  • Are visiting Banff and the Canadian Rockies for the first time
  • Find the booking systems for shuttles, timed tickets, and tours confusing
  • Don't have the time to research and organise everything yourself
  • Want to make the most of limited time without overloading your days
  • Are travelling as a family or group with different interests and needs

If you've already planned most of your trip and just want a second opinion, our 50-Minute Banff Trip Planning Consultation will probably be a better fit.

How It Works

Step 1: Book your itinerary planning
Complete payment online, and you will be directed to pick a time for your first video consultation. Can’t find a suitable time? Email us so we can find a time that works for you.

Step 2: Complete our trip form
You'll receive a form asking about your dates, who's travelling, your interests, pace, fitness level, budget, and must-sees. This lets me prepare in advance so we can get straight to the details on the call.

Step 3: Your 50-minute video consultation
We'll go through your form together, talk through your priorities, and answer any questions you have.

Step 4: Receive your first draft
Your day-by-day itinerary will arrive within 10 days of the call.

Step 5: Fine-tune your plan
Let me know what you'd like changed, and I'll send back a revised version.

Step 6: Receive your final itinerary
Your finished itinerary is delivered as a mobile-friendly PDF you can use on the go or print out.

Step 7: Your 30-minute wrap-up call
We'll go through your final plan together, check that your key reservations are in place, and answer any last questions. You can have this call straight away or closer to your trip, whichever is more useful.

Step 8: Follow-up email support
If questions come up before or during your trip, you can email me right up until you head home.

What This Service Is, and Isn't

This is a trip planning service, not a travel agent booking service. I don't book hotels, flights, rental cars, tours, or restaurants on your behalf, but I'll tell you exactly what to book, when to book it, and where.

Recommendations are based on the most up-to-date information available when your itinerary is written. Closures, weather, and operator changes are outside my control, which is why every itinerary includes backup options.

My trip planning expertise covers Banff, Jasper, Yoho and Kootenay National Parks.

FAQs

How is the price worked out?

The price is based on the number of nights you're spending in the Rockies. Trips of up to 5 nights are USD 1,000, and each additional night is USD 200, so a 7-night trip is USD 1,400.

Will you make the bookings for me?

No. You'll make your own reservations, but your itinerary will show you exactly what to book, when, and where.

Do you plan for families or travellers with mobility needs?

Yes. Let me know on your trip form, and I'll plan each day with your group's needs in mind.

Can I make changes once my itinerary is finished?

Small tweaks are included. If your dates change or the trip needs rebuilding, I'll quote for the extra work.

What's the difference between this and the 50-minute consultation?

The consultation is advice-based and helps you plan your own trip. With this service, I build the complete itinerary for you.
